CVault Humidor Storage Review

Fresh cannabis is a heavenly thing, often moist, soft, and sticky. As the days go by and your supply gets exposed to air and light, it begins to dry out. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, because cannabis that is too wet and sticky can be difficult to smoke and work with.

But, cannabis that is too dry is equally difficult to work with. Dry cannabis is harsh and crumbly, disintegrating into powder when ground and offering less flavor and aroma than when at its fresher state.

Fortunately there are steps we can take to keep our cannabis supply fresh. Keeping it in an airtight container and away from light are the two easiest tips that anyone can implement. But for those wanting an easy solution, I offer this review of CVault containers, my favorite storage solution for day-to-day use.

All CVault containers have a uniquely designed lid with a space for an included Boveda® pak. Fully airtight and impenetrable to light, CVault containers not only keep fresh cannabis fresh, but can also restore a dry product to its original fresh state.

How I Use my CVault Containers

We’ve been using these containers for years now, and can truly attest to their great engineering. These containers keep everything as fresh as the day we harvest. David uses them for effective curing of our home grown cannabis, and I use them to keep my stash fresh from day-to-day.

Additionally I use the smallest sized CVault container to hold my ongoing supply of ground herb. I grind up most of my cannabis before consuming it, and with a tolerance like mine I tend to grind a lot at one time.

I use CVault containers to hold my “working stash”- the strains that I’m currently enjoying rather than keeping in storage. The small and medium containers fit perfectly in my Stashlogix bag, thus keeping them safe from prying eyes. I use the extra-small container for holding the ground up flower that I constantly go through. The xtra small containers don’t have the latch top, so are easier and faster to access for any smoke or vape sesh, and they have the same unique lid and Boveda® humidity pack. Keeping that supply of ground up cannabis in a separate container rather than in my grinder means I can hold a bigger supply and keep a tidier sesh area.
