Serene Tree CBD and Delta 8 THC

Serene Tree is a California-based online shop founded in 2019. They strive to be the number one source for high-quality, locally sourced and produced hemp, CBD, and Delta-8 products. In addition to their own line of hemp and CBD, Serene Tree carries popular CBD and Delta 8 items from several other reputable companies. Carrying everything from CBD-infused coffee and smokeable hemp flower, to Delta 8 edibles and vape juice, Serene Tree is a one-stop-shop for CBD, hemp, and other minor cannabinoid products. And of course, like all brands I feature here, Serene Tree keeps up-to-date COA’s on all of their products publically available here.

Serene Tree sent me three flavors of Delta 8 gummies from Bottle & Tree to review, so let’s dive in!

A Quick Refresher on Delta 8 THC

Delta 8 THC is a minor cannabinoid gaining widespread recognition. It has only recently been isolated and processed for sale to the general public. Its subtle effects and ease of access make it a cannabinoid that is rising quickly in popularity. I myself am a big fan of vaping Delta 8 THC, as I find it to have a mildly uplifting effect on my mood without getting me high, perfect for daytime use. It can also be ingested, and I have found its relaxing and sedating effects to be stronger when consumed that way.

Delta 8 THC is a less potent sister to Delta 9 THC, often jokingly referred to as “diet weed”. Delta 8 is said to have a mild psychoactive effect, though of course, everyone’s experience is different. It is a popular cannabinoid for aiding in relaxation and sleep, as well as for managing mood. When derived from hemp, Delta 8 is currently federally legal, though prohibited in some states. If you live in a state where Delta 8 is legal, you can order products online from many reputable resources, including Serene Tree. Serene Tree cannot ship Delta 8 THC to Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, Rhode Island, and Utah.

It is important to note that just like cannabis and different consumption methods, user experiences vary greatly. Always be sure to start low and slow when trying any new cannabinoid or consumption method.

Bottle & Tree Delta-8 THC Gummies

Bottle & Tree’s gummies contain around 25 mg of Delta 8 THC per gummy and are available in peach, blue raspberry, and green apple. Fruit gummies rings were a staple of my childhood, and Bottle & Tree’s are a faithful adaptation of those classic treats. Each gummy has a pleasant firm texture and a generous sprinkling of sugar. They are fat, dairy, and gluten-free.

Taste

While all the gummies are very tasty, there is a discernable aftertaste that is common in CBD and delta 8 products. I usually refer to it as a “bitter” taste that is subtle and easy to get over. Bottle & Tree’s peach rings had the strongest aftertaste, while the blue raspberry had the least, making it my favorite of the three. Don’t get me wrong, this aftertaste is very common with tinctures and edibles derived from hemp. It is not strong enough to dissuade me from enjoying any of those types of products.

Out of all of the Delta 8 edibles, I have tried, Bottle & Tree’s blue raspberry, green apple, and peach rings are high on my list of favorites!

Effects

I’ve got to admit, so far, ingesting Delta 8 has had no psychoactive effects on me. To review these gummies I took one of each flavor, for a total of 75 mg of Delta 8. This seems like a fairly high dose to me, but I never once felt a psychoactive effect, no high whatsoever. They did, however, make me feel happy, extremely relaxed, and somewhat sleepy.

For me, ingesting Delta 8 always seems to leave me feeling more sedated rather than uplifted. I feel these gummies are perfect for evenings when I’m in for the night and ready to relax. Please remember that everyone’s experience with Delta 8 is different! When my husband takes these same gummies he feels downright high, so it’s important to test everything out for yourself. Again, start low, go slow, and use caution when trying any new cannabinoid or consumption method. I find that taking notes on how products affect me is a great reference for future purchases.

Best of luck to all my readers on your cannabis journey, and don’t forget to check out serenetree.com when you’re ready to try CBD, hemp, and Delta 8 products.
