New LED Grow Light – WGOIDG

Welcome to What’s Going on in Dave’s Grow! This week, I show off my new light from Electrivo, we look at my gorgeous flowering plants, and talk a little bit about my new one-on-one grow course.

So as you all know, I have been a Black Dog LED fan for some time now. I wanted to try another bar light since my last grow with the FOHSE Ares grow light. The FOHSE was a straight-up white light with no UV or IR. What excited me about the Electrivo 760w Xbar pro light, was the inclusion of UV and the fact that it is dimmable as well.

The Features

This light has a ton of bells and whistles. I love the patented snap-in bars. This is great for storing your light when it is not in use. The light also features dimming controls (for both white and UV separately). I love this because I can crank the intensity down when I have clones rather than switching out lights.

For those of you with larger grows that need multiple lights, daisy chaining is absolutely an option. That and it’s water resistant for humid environments. Now, for all of you nerdy LED enthusiasts, here are some spec highlights.

PPF – 2000 micromoles
Dimming – 0-10 volts
Input Power – 660 watts white light / 100 watts UV
Luminous Efficacy – 2.8 micromoles

Final Thoughts?

I love this light. I was very resistant to a bar light for quite some time, but I have seen the light (pun intended). I will say that since this video was made, I moved this into my 5’x5′ tent. It can fit in a 4’x4′, but it is a tight fit. My plants are responding very well and I do feel that I am getting great coverage. The lights are very cool to the touch and my plants can be around 1′ below the lights without any burning.

The cost? Depending on where you purchase, you can expect to pay around $1,699, which is on par with other grow lights with the same energy output. Check back soon for updates on this grow.
