Floral and spice and everything nice, Lavender is one of my favorite things for relaxation and romance.
So, I’m a sucker for lavender. Since I was a kid I have loved the scent, the images of lavender fields, some romantic purple paradise in France where everything is clean and natural. It’s the scent I grab at the store for fabric softener, hand soap, after-pooping bathroom freshener. It soothes me.
If I could toke up in a spa at say, the Four Seasons, I would smoke Lavender. Lavender is a powerful indica with a euphoric mood lift and is extremely effective at pain relief. Not necessarily weed that knocks you out, Lavender has become my top choice for getting the soothing effects of an indica without falling asleep. Wipe the crumbs off the couch because you’ll probably be there for a while. That’s why in my scenario I’m at the spa. Because crumbs are not relaxing.
- Energy: Lavender is definitely not the way to go if you’re looking for an energy burst, but it doesn’t knock you out either. Sometimes is leaves me in a semi-depressive, totally unproductive state, which probably sounds really crappy but on a day when you’re sick and it’s grey and you don’t want to do anything other than watch entire seasons of Scrubs, then yeah. Smoke this.
- Mental Awareness: The head high with Lavender is great; alertness, creativity, chattiness. Most recently I took Lavender up to Vail and enjoyed a couple bowls before dinner. Dinner conversation was flirty and funny and (mostly) attentive.
- Emotional State: Lavender is highly uplifting, bordering on euphoric. Unfortunately I tend to suffer from post high crash with this weed. For me that means couch locked, lazy and difficult to motivate. Those feelings don’t really make for the most pleasant emotions. Once again that may sound unappealing, but it’s all about how you use it. After a great dinner date (see above) I am stoned and lazy, limbs heavy, skin craving touch, pliable and more than ready for marital relations. Still sound unappealing?
- Jumpiness/Paranoia: Smooth sailing ahead folks. Zero bad thoughts with this one.
A floral strain for pain and anxiety, Lavender’s full body buzz and head calming high make this a favorite indica of The Stoner Mom. Due to the high potential for couch lock, not recommended for those active kid raising days. Save this one for a date night and sexy times await.
