In our fourth season opener (wait, what?) David and I get nicely baked and talk the news. Because what everyone needs to listen to is stoned adults pontificating during an election year. Right? And David brought vodka to our recording session so this should be fun.
“Potitics” During an Election Year
When I started thestonermom.com in 2014, I had the distinct desire to abstain from any and all political and legislative topics. I really just wanted to focus on the perspective of normalizing use for mothers. But as the time has gone by and my collection of emails from loyal fans makes me increasingly moved and angered by the publics perception of cannabis use, I have gotten more involved and interested in the news and current status of legalization in the US and around the world.
Today we are discussing various news reports that have pissed me off, regarding opiate addiction, the heroin epidemic in the US, sex slavery in the illegal pot industry, and what candidate for the presidency has the best stance on legalizing marijuana.
